The submission page accepts the draft prepared by the test step. Complete the final details, confirm the acknowledgement, and send it to the BARS review team.

Complete the final details

1

Name the scenery package

Enter the package or developer name contributors will recognize, such as FlyTampa, iniBuilds, or Default. Matching package suggestions appear while you type.
2

Select the simulator

Choose MSFS 2024, MSFS 2020, or X-Plane. It must match the simulator used to create and test the draft.
3

Add review notes

Notes are optional. Include anything the reviewer cannot infer from the draft, such as a known scenery limitation or the reason for replacing an older contribution.
4

Check the tested draft

The status card must say Tested draft ready and name the expected file.
5

Confirm Ready to submit

Confirm that you followed the guide, tested the draft, and created the work yourself.
6

Select Submit contribution

BARS uploads the tested draft and adds it to the review queue.
Submit contribution page with scenery package, simulator choices, notes, Tested draft ready status, acknowledgement, and Submit contribution button

Confirm the scenery, simulator, tested draft, and acknowledgement before submitting.

Return to the test step if the page says Tested draft missing. You cannot submit a file that has not completed the current test flow.

Review outcomes

A rejection reason explains the decision when the reviewer supplied one. Correct the draft and submit a new contribution rather than trying to edit the rejected record.
Rejection Reason dialog opened from a rejected contribution on the dashboard

Open View Reason before correcting and resubmitting a rejected contribution.

Your Contributions dashboard with approved, pending, and rejected status totals plus View Reason and Delete actions

Your Contributions shows status totals and the actions available for each submission.

Manage your submissions

Open the Contribution Dashboard, then select Your Contributions. You can:
  • See total, approved, pending, and rejected counts.
  • Search by airport, scenery, or simulator.
  • Read the last-updated time and simulator for each submission.
  • Delete a pending or rejected contribution.
  • Open the reason attached to a rejected contribution.
Deleting a pending or rejected contribution permanently removes its contribution and scenery data. The confirmation dialog names the airport and scenery before deletion.
The dashboard cannot delete an approved contribution. Contact support@stopbars.com with the contribution ID and the reason it should be removed.

Public contributor name

The dashboard shows the contributor name attached to approved scenery. In account settings, choose the preferred display name mode:
  • First name.
  • First name and last initial.
  • VATSIM CID.
The dashboard also includes a Top Contributors leaderboard. Connect Discord to your BARS account if you want the contributor role in the BARS Discord server.
Open View Reason first. If the reason is still unclear, ask in the BARS Discord server and include the contribution ID. Do not post private account details.
Delete the pending submission from Your Contributions, return to the contribution flow, and submit a tested draft with the correct details.
Create and test a new draft for the same airport, scenery, and simulator. Explain the replacement in the review notes.
